Kids For Christ
Our Kids for Christ group is made up of our Kindergarten-5th graders. They enjoy getting together for Dinner/Devotionals on a monthly basis and occasional scheduled activities. They also are involved in our Bible Memory Work program where they put scripture on their hearts. This group LOVES spending time together!
Memory Work
Monthly Kids for Christ meal and lesson.
Our KFC group is for our Kindergarten thru 5th grade students. Our goal is to develop relationships with each other so when they are at school or other events they will have friends they can depend on. Here is some info to help you become more familiar and comfortable with KFC.
- On the first Wednesday of every month our group meets at the church building for what we call dinner/devo time. The entire group meets at 5:45 p.m. for a fun activity or game. Then we eat together (you may even be asked to bring something for the dinner) and then we have a short devotional before our bible classes. Even though the whole time together is a lot of fun the most important thing you will participate in is the devotional. This is a time where we stop being silly and turn all of our attention to God. We will probably sing a song or two and someone will share something from God's word with us. This may be different for you at first but don't worry there will be older students and even adults that help everyone get into the hang of calming down & focusing on our Heavenly Father.
- Besides our dinner/devo time we will try to plan other activities throughout the year. Some things to look forward to include our fall carnival a trip to the pumpkin patch a cook-out Christmas caroling and maybe a movie or a visit to Incredible Pizza. We have lots and lots of things planned and are so excited that you will be a part of our group this year.
- Another important thing we do in KFC is a Bible memory work program. Under the Memory work tab we have the list items to memorize. This is something you can work on at home with your parents or other family members. Our goal is that you are able to say all your memory work for your grade level to someone besides a family member; you know like your Bible class teacher.
Once again we want to invite you and your children to Kids for Christ and are excited to spend time with you as we grow together in Christ.
